The only one that is a counter is Poliwrath, but if people could name the others they are finding, that'd be great. The only one that is a counter is Poliwrath. My two cents on Gatr: Gatr was already strong before it got Sheer Force; and was one of the most dominant pokemon in NU.

Between it's decent bulk; high physical power; set-up ability; and great coverage; it had few checks and arguably no true counters. And now it has Sheer Force; giving it an additional power boost which it did not have before. In fact the x1. Sheer Force pushes an already powerful pokemon over the edge in this case; I believe. Kawaii Kyouko. CanadianWifier said:. It's not hard to see this thing is beyond retarded in NU. I have to agree with the vast majority of posters above, Feraligatr at this time with the inclusion of sheer force is much too powerful for this tier.

While I lack the play and team building experience as others I have been digging through the NU tier for a reliable check or counter to this pokemon. Sadly I have been coming up with little less than a handful that are actually effective against Feraligatr, Poliwrath and some gimmick explosion pokemon with Focus Sash. As a result I feel that its removal will be needed from this tier or at the very least the Sheer Force ability. El Coqui.

Looks like NU has taken some hits overall with all the changes in tier. I hardly believe its anyone's fault but yeah NU will either see the same pokemon on every team or will have a resurgence of some PU mons into the tier. Personally, I feel like change is always good for a tier and new mons being used could do just that. El Coqui said:. It was excellant typing and stats. Meganium is slightly faster than Feraligatr, so it can just charge Solarbeam one turn and release it the next.

Gyarados also has a better typing, both offensively and defensively. Charizard is a fire pokemon who has attacks that can take down even the bravest of souls. Of course Feraligatr is a hard core Water Pokemon who never wavers in the face of danger.

Feraligatr is just too powerful to lose to him. Feraligatr wins. Feraligatr can only learn these moves in previous generations. Although it has a massive body, its powerful hind legs enable it to move quickly, even on the ground. In battle, it will kick the ground hard with its thick and powerful hind legs to charge at the foe at an incredible speed.

Feraligatr intimidates its foes by opening its huge mouth. Moves marked with a superscript game abbreviation can only be bred onto Feraligatr in that game.

Due to this Pokemon being a water-type, it is weak against Grass and Electric moves. Totodile is strong against Fire, Ice, Water and Steel moves. Although its combined base stats of are a little lower than some of the other Pokemon in the monster egg group, Charizard is the fire-type Pokemon of choice for a lot of people due to its high special attack and speed stats.

So why is Gliscor banned? It has the Poison Heal ability, and will almost always carry a Toxic Orb to take advantage of that.

Note, nothing actually stops you from adding illegal Pokemon to your team. Curse can be bred onto a Larvitar by breeding with any Pokemon in the Slowpoke line , the Galarian forms included, Bergmite, or Avalugg. This move increases both attack and defense by one stage at the cost of also reducing speed by one stage.

Charizard can onpy breed with other Pokemon in the same egg group as Charizard. Since Charizard belongs to the Dragon and Monster egg groups.

So basically Charizard can breed with Pokemon in the Dragon egg group Linked here and the Monster egg group Linked here. Wobbuffet is banned for two reasons. Wobbuffet will not end if they are holding Leftovers, because Leftovers heals more than Wobbuffet can hit with Struggle. However, it can be a powerful Pokemon to set up a Belly Drum sweeper if you Encore a non-attacking move. Mewtwo has a diverse move pool, capable of carrying super-effective moves for anything that can touch it.
